It doesn’t matter what you haven’t accomplished yet. It doesn’t matter how old you are. It doesn’t even matter how much free time you have. Consistency will lead to progress. I’m writing this during breaks between sets, while working out. I’ve built a business, run a couple of literary magazines, got married, and had kids. I’ve written a couple of novellas, but I haven’t written anything that I want the world to read. At age 47, I have some fairly average accomplishments. I’m ok with that though.
The point here is to demonstrate to the world and myself that with very limited time, you can write something. Maybe it won’t be perfect. Maybe it won’t even be good, but it will get better. You’ll get better. Imagine if you wrote when you could. You wrote on the toilet, while at the doctor’s office, while working out.
Sure, after a day, not much of a difference. One week later, no big deal. After one year though, maybe you have a full length novel, and the only thing you had to give up was social media! Feels like a win win. If you still think you don’t have time to write, you got this far. Go write. Believe in yourself. Take only the criticism that will make you better.
You got this! Let’s go!
